Vacancy pastors are given a Divine Call for a one-year term, unlike permanent calls. Pastor Berg's call as St John vacancy pastor expires on Nov 30. It is still the responsibility of our Circuit Pastor and MN District President to provide a Call list to St John for a Vacancy Pastor. Unlike permanent calls, they ask pastors in our area if they are willing to accept this Vacancy Call before it is issued to them. Pastor Schleusener from Mt Olive has agreed to fill this position at St John effective Dec 1. To make it official, St John will hold a Special Voter's meeting on Nov 1 in the church sanctuary after our worship service.
