Celebration of Ministry 2017 - Pastor Voigt's 25th Anniversary

It is not too late to support Pastor in his 25th ministry anniversary retreat in San Antonio.
To date,St. John has received about $400 toward the $1700 needed. (A letter with more detail was left in your church box in February.) If you have it in your means and your heart, your special offering to St. John should be marked "Celebration of Ministry 2017." You are also encouraged to pray that this retreat would be a safe, refreshing, renewing blessing for the Voigts - and all our WELS Pastors in attendance.

Open Forum Summary

The church council secretary compiled all the comments and suggestions from our first congregational open forum  (April 2).  If you would like a copy of the document, you can pick one of them up.  They are on the table in the entrance of church.  If they are all gone, we can easily make more.  Please speak to the church secretary to request one in that case.  Included is the preliminary report from the recent visit of the consultant, Mr. Paul Hartwig.

Opportunity to Help!

We have become aware of a woman on the East Side who could use some baby items for a newborn girl. If anyone has a small donation of used items they are done with and are willing to contribute, or if you would like to purchase a small package of diapers or other consumables, please notify the church office by noon on Friday, as we need an accounting of the items. Donations should be dropped off in the church office by church time this Sunday. Questions can be directed to Tamara.

Letter from Cindy Lendt

Dear members of St. John,

Four weeks ago I received a divine call to teach at St. John’s in Neillsville, WI. I’ve been deliberating where I can serve best, either here in St. Paul or in Neillsville, and with the Lord’s guidance I’ve reached a decision. I’m returning the call to teach at St. John’s in Neillsville.

I asked you to include me in your prayers, and I want to thank you for that and for the time many of you took to talk with me. Please keep on praying. Ask God to bless the spread of the Gospel in Neillsville, here in St. Paul, and throughout the world.

In our Savior’s Name,

Cindy Lendt
