"Come" Is a Good Advent Prayer
1.  Come, Lord, with your might
2.  Come, Lord, with your mercy

Prayer of the Day:
Stir up your power, O Lord, and come.  Protect us by your strength and save us from the threatening dangers of our sins; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Almighty God and Savior, you have set the final day and hour when we shall be delivered from this world of sin and death.  Keep us ever watchful for the coming of your Son that we may sit with him and all your holy ones at the marriage feast in heaven; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Immanuel Hmong is planning to have a Thanksgiving Celebration. — The date is November 23rd. They will have a Hmong Worship Service from 12:30 pm-1:45 pm. After service, they will be in the gym for an hour program (talent shows, games.), following with Thanksgiving Dinner around 3 pm, in the fellowship hall. We have been invited to have fellowship with them. Immanuel will provide all the food and drinks. Dress: Church clothes or Hmong custom if you have one.  There is a sign up sheet on the table in the narthex if you are able to attend the meal.  Please sign up by November 17th.  A count of our members attending will help them with food preparation.

 

Thank You — Pastor and Charmain are extremely grateful for their two night stay in a bed and breakfast in Wabasha that St. John gave them for Pastor appreciation.  They took advantage of the generous gift on November 4th-6th. They are also thankful for the bike rack for their vehicle.  That might have to wait for warmer weather.  It is their prayer that the Lord continue to give his love to us as we serve the Savior together.

Passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.  Survived by husband Kennard;children,
Craig (Georgia), Mary (Dan) Hart, Brian (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren,
7 great-grandchildren; & sister Helen Mackedanz.  Service will be held
Saturday, November 15, 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, with visitation 1 hour
prior. Private internment at Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul.

Thank You — Pastor and Charmain are extremely grateful for their two night stay in a bed and breakfast in Wabasha that St. John gave them for Pastor appreciation.  They took advantage of the generous gift on November 4th-6th.
