Second Sunday after the Epiphany


Worship Focus:  Jesus reveals his glory as Lord of all.

Behold the Bride of the Lord
1.  Dazzling to the one who sees her

Prayer of the Day:  Almighty God, you gave your one and only Son to be the light of the world.  Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ’s glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and believed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Sunday Presentation (Repeat)

This coming Sunday Pastor Curtis Seefeldt will be preaching in worship and presenting in Bible Class.  He has been serving at the Lutheran Home in Belle  Plaine, MN for a number of years.  He travels around the country speaking on Alzheimer's.  He has also written a book about it - "It's Alzheimer's:"  It's Time for Extraordinary Love.

The schedule for Sunday is:
- 9:30 AM - Worship
- 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM - Alzheimer's I
- 12:00 PM - Lunch
- 12:30 - 2:00 PM - Alzheimer's II

You will note that he has a lot to share with us.  You don't have to stay for both sessions.  He is offering the extra time for more follow up and study.

If you do plan to stay for the two, we will have a light lunch in between.  We can fill our stomachs with food and our brains with information at the same time.

Sunday Alzheimer's Presentation

Volunteer Position at St. John Lutheran School

St. John Lutheran School is looking for a permanent volunteer, Mondays only, hot lunch server for the remainder of this school year.  As you may know, we have two permanent volunteer servers per day.  One of the previous permanent servers will continue to do Mondays, but we need to find him a helper.  This volunteer position would begin next week Monday and continue through this school year.  Normally our hot lunch servers begin working around 11:40  a.m. and are done by 1:15-1:30 p.m.
Please let Mrs. Mueller know, in the school office, if you or someone you know is interested in this volunteer position.
