Worship Focus: Faith is the very foundation of the Christian life. Faith, worked by the Holy Spirit through the gospel, allows us to do great things for the Lord and see eternal life as our ultimate goal. Let us thank God daily for the gift of faith.

Our attitude about material possessions and the way we handle money reflect our relationship with God. Amos and Jesus warn that an obsession with gaining more money relegates God to a lowly position in our lives. And, as Paul relates to Timothy, the greatest price we should be concerned about is the ransom Christ paid to reconcile us with God.

We have a patient God, and we are saved because of it. Moses pleaded for the Lord’s patience when the Israelites broke the covenant. Paul illustrates God’s patience with each individual. Christ points out that there is rejoicing in heaven over every soul that repents.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord, we pray that your mercy and grace may always go before and follow after us that, loving you with undivided hearts, we may be ready for every good and useful work; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
