Gratitude For Grace and Annual Congregation Meeting

This Sunday, January 29th, we will continue with our annual celebration "Gratitude for Grace!" We would like our members to consider prayerfully a special gift as we continue to address our budget shortfall.  It is one way to respond to our God for all that he has done for us - from rescuing us from sin to remaining with us in Life.  You have included with your offering envelopes a special envelope marked "Gratitude for Grace."  This is also the date of our annual meeting, which will follow our special worship service.  A light lunch will be served. If you are able, please bring a dessert to pass.

Divine Call Accepted

We are happy to announce that Mrs. Barb Polzin has accepted our divine call to serve as Teacher of Grades 2-4 and Activities Director. In her letter we received today, she states:

Having received the call you have extended to me to teach at St. John Lutheran School, I have prayerfully asked God's guidance in how best to serve him in the future. I believe God has directed this call to me in His good time.

I joyfully accept the call to teach at St. John Lutheran School. I will seek to faithfully serve the school, your students and families, and your congregation. I ask for your prayers on my behalf as I make the transition to this new educational setting in which to serve the Lord.

I pray that God continues to bless His Word among you throughout the remainder of this school year and into the future. Please continue to pray for the success of Christian education in all of our Lutheran schools.

In Christ,
Mrs. Barb Polzin

We look forward to Mrs. Polzin beginning her ministry at St. John beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, and ask the Lord to bless her work among us.
