for Christians, it is never over.
Here is a digital message about Thanksgiving and celebration. Link to devotion
This week's digital message is available now! We pray it can be used for a time of worship to our gracious
God. Pastor Al looks at 1 Chronicles 1-2, 7-11 and what celebrating looks like this season.
From God's Word ...
Psalm 103 ...Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits.
Psalm 148 ...And he has raised up for his people a horn,
the praise of all his faithful servants,
of Israel, the people close to his heart.
Praise the LORD.
1 Chronicles 16:1-2, 7-11
And they brought in the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the LORD by Asaph and his brothers.
Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!
Seek the LORD and his strength;
seek his presence continually!
