Anticipating Worship (October 28)

The Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost

Worship Focus:  God’s judgment brings happiness and joy from suffering and tears.

Scripture Readings:
Jeremiah 31:7-9
Psalm 126
Hebrews 5:1-10
Mark 10:46-52

Sermon Meditation:  Mark 10:46-52

Jesus Is a Sight for Blind Eyes
1.  He is a Savior who delivers from trouble
2.  He is a Savior who delights in trust

Prayer of the Day:  God, our refuge and strength, have mercy on your Church, as we come in prayer before you.  Answer us not in judgment on our sins, but in peace and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

No matter what we face in life, we are not alone.  We have our God and we have one another.  That brings us happiness all our days.  See you on Sunday at 9:30 AM.
