Anticipating Worship (October 30)

First Sunday of end Time - Reformation Sunday

Worship Focus:  We rejoice because of the righteousness of Jesus revealed in God’s Word.

We will be having a special worship service to celebrate the 499th anniversary of when Dr. Martin Luther posted the 95 Theses on the door of the Castle Church.  We will have five devotions based on Luther's seal.

Open ...

Scripture Readings:
Romans 10:10 - The Black Cross
Romans 1:17 - The Red Heart
Romans 15:13 - The White Rose
Romans 8:18 - The Blue Background
Romans 16:25-27 - The Golden Ring

Prayer of the Day:  Let us pray:  Heavenly Father, our refuge and strength, pour out your Holy Spirit on your faithful people.  Keep them steadfast in your Word, protect and comfort them in all temptations, defend them against all their enemies, and bestow on the Church your saving peace; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Happy Reformation!
