Grant that by the witness of your Church many may be brought into your kingdom and worship you, the only true God; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We have the opportunity to hear God's Word in worship and about God's work in Africa. Pastor/Missionary Roebke will preach the sermon and present in Bible class. See you tomorrow at 9:30 AM.

Mishler Memorial Service
The Lord called Yvonne Mishler to her heavenly home on April 28, 2018. Her Christain funeral will be Saturday, September 8, 2018. The visitation begins at 1:00 PM and the service at 2:00 PM. Light refreshments will follow worship.
Yvonne was a longtime member of St. John. A number of years ago she moved to Texas and lived there.
We trust in the Lord who makes us strong in life and in death.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31).

God has given us his Word. We gather around it to study it and stay in it so that we stick to it. See you Sunday at 9:30 PM.

Little Lights Update
Hello Parents,
I want to call your attention to our Little Lights Sunday School Program as we start a new year. The first day of Little Lights will be September 9th. We’ve added some new programs to keep our children growing in God’s word at St. John.
If your child(ren) haven’t attended before, please consider bringing them. We have programs for all children up to Grade 6! If you are interested in helping as a volunteer, we would love to have you. On our Group Activity Sunday’s we are looking for volunteers to help chaperone the group and not teach a traditional lesson!
Please read the key changes/reminders below:
- Classrooms and Ages
o Ages 3 & Under
Location: main classroom (with toys and supplies)
o PreK-K
Location: classroom #7
o Grades 1-3
Location: Library
o Grades 4-6
Location: Music Room
- Snack
o Snack will be purchased in bulk for all classrooms (no snack sign up). If desired, parents can contribute via a monetary donation to Little Lights during offerings on Sundays (suggested $10/year).
- Large Group Activities
o NEW this Fall we will have a Large Group Activity on Sunday’s that we typically would have off (Fellowship Sunday’s and around Holidays).
- Christmas Hymn
o Looking for a few more volunteers to help with this effort. Practice schedule and song will be provided to parents this Fall.
