Gratitude for Grace

Gratitude for Grace — God has given us his love.  We see it clearly in Christ.  We will have our annual celebration of God's goodness called "Gratitude for Grace" on January 25.  Please check your member box for a letter from the Church Council with more information.  This also coincides with our Annual Meeting and delicious potluck after worship. Prayer of the Day:  Almighty God, you gave your one and only Son to be the light of the world.  Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ’s glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and believed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

We will celebrate the Lord's Supper.

Prayer of the Day:  Father in heaven, at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan you proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit.  Keep us who are baptized into Christ faithful in our calling as your children and make us heirs of everlasting life; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Dear members of St. John,

Please include me in your prayers! Hope Lutheran Church in Manhattan, Kansas, has an early learning center that serves 100 children and their families, and the congregation is calling me to be its director. Please pray that God gives me the wisdom to decide where my talents would serve best, here at St. John or at Hope Lutheran in Kansas. As always, I appreciate your input and your prayers as I make my decision!

Christmas Clean Up
